Outer voices is an Chicago-based ensemble founded in 2013 by composers Kenn Kumpf and Robert Reinhart. We are dedicated to the performance of one-per-part vocal repertoire that is seldom heard, specifically that from before ca. 1700 and after ca. 1950. These periods contain a wealth of repertoire that is challenging to perform but beautiful to hear. Our debut concert will be held at 7pm on Sunday, March 16th, 2014 at the Swedish American Museum (5211 N. Clark St.) and will feature both early and contemporary music. It is free of charge, though donations are gladly accepted. For more information regarding the concert, please see our Events page.
